When using the term billiard pool table it is important to understand billiard terminology. A billiard table can actually be one of three different tables. One has pockets, another has no pockets, and a third is designed specifically for the game of soccer.

Still, the term billiard table encompasses all three kinds of tables so when people say billiard pool table they usually mean a pool table that is commonly found in bars. It may make it easier simply to call it a pool table when you shop.
