Pool Cues
Pool cues have become part of contemporary culture after
being carried by the likes of Paul Newman and Tom Cruise in classic
pool hall movies. While most of us simply choose a pool stick off the
wall of a bar, we know from these movies that aficionados carry their
own personal pool cue. In fact, certain pool cues can be designed to
actually help a hustler fool other pool players.
For the amateur, pool cues are simply a piece of sporting equipment
required for games like pool and billiards. Pool cues are usually made
of wood and sometimes include other materials like aluminum or fiberglass.
A typical pool cue is about 5 feet long.
Pool cues can be bought at retail stores for as little as $30 each.
Popular manufacturers include Viking, McDermott and Players. More expensive
pool cues can cost over $100 and advertise a fluid and absorbing hit.
